The music of Oakwood Baptist Church is focused on conveying a Godly message in an appropriate, Christ-honoring manner. We feel that the purpose of music in the service is to prepare the hearts and minds of the listeners for the most important part of the service - the preaching.

With twelve soloists, two duets, five trios, two quartets, an ensemble, and four choirs, the OBC music department is a diverse ministry. The four choirs include a Wednesday night Kids 4 Truth choir for ages 3-12, a junior choir for 4th-6th graders, an eighteen member teen choir, and a regular adult choir.

In addition, we have Sunday evening offertory specials designed to allow our members to use their musical talents for Christ. We often receive compliments on our music program from local visitors and guest preachers. We thank God for those He has sent our way to fill this important ministry of our church.
