 What Your Child Will Be Learning
Our desire is to communicate memorably to the next generation 120 of the most important God-focused truths revealed in God's Word. The program is built upon twelve doctrinal themes. The curriculum is structured to become progressively complex as the child grows older and learns more. Here are the twelve doctrinal themes emphasized in the Kids 4 Truth curriculum:  God’s Word – The Bible  The Greatness of God  The Goodness of God
 The Trinity  God’s Creation  God’s View of You
 God’s Law  Jesus Christ  God’s Gift – Salvation
 God’s Purpose for His Children  God’s Work –Past and Present  God’s Plans for the Future
Every two session years (six themes are covered every session year) the boys and girls will learn answers to the same questions primarily by memorizing the answers. A few of the questions change over the years, but for the most part, they stay the same. The answers are developed deeper and deeper for every level. Below is the very first question asked, as it is developed across the different levels: Discoverers
(3, 4 & 5-yr-olds) Q. What is the Bible? A. The Bible is the Word of God. Developers (1st & 2nd graders) Q. What is the Bible? A. The Bible is the only inspired Word of God. 1 Peter 1:23b – The word of God…liveth and abideth for ever. Detectives (3rd & 4th graders) Q. What is the Bible? A. The Bible is the only inspired Word of God. 1 Peter 1:23 – Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. Defenders (5th & 6th graders) Q. What is the Bible? A. The Bible is the only inspired Word of God, the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, and is above all other books in wisdom, power, and authority. 1 Peter 1:23 – Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. The boys and girls can learn these 120 essential truths 3-4 times during their Kids4Truth session years (if they begin in Level 1). This is an effort to ensure they get the best quality learning experience. Obviously, we believe in review! But we also believe that review does not have to be boring. The curriculum includes several elements beyond memorization – including theme-based stories that help apply the doctrine to everyday living. Four Levels The Kids 4 Truth clubs consist of four main age groups that we refer to as levels. Each one of the level names reflects the goals set for that specific age group. Boys and girls share the same level name.  •LEVEL 1 - Discoverers (3yrs – 5yrs) Main Theme Color = Lime Green
Boys and girls discover the most important truths about God in this adventurous treasure hunting level. This is the only level that can last up to 3 years. It is specific to the age, not the grade of the child. Therefore there are three sets of Truth Cards for this level. · Discoverers A (3 year olds) · Discoverers B (4 year olds) · Discoverers C (5 year olds);  •LEVEL 2 - Developers (1st-2nd grade) Main Theme Color = Red
Boys and girls build upon the foundation of God-Focused truth in this construction/builder themed level.  •LEVEL 3 - Detectives (3rd-4th grade) Main Theme Color = Khaki
Boys and girls further investigate doctrinal truth and go deeper in their understanding in this sleuthing, clue-finding level.  •LEVEL 4 - Defenders (5th-6th grade) Main Theme Color = Royal Blue
Boys and girls learn to love and defend the faith in this medieval themed level. Levels 2-4 each contain two packs of Truth Cards – one pack for each curriculum year. Each Truth Card pack contains Q&A for 6 of the 12 doctrinal themes. Pack #1 always contains the first six themes and pack #2 contains the last 6 themes. Grades 1, 3, and 5 will be in pack #1 of their respective level while grades 2, 4, and 6 will be in pack #2. About the Entrance Exams and Truth Cards The Truth Cards are top quality, both in content and appearance. Much time has been spent to ensure the accuracy and understandability of what the cards teach. We have also worked to provide attractive material that boys and girls will value. The Truth Cards actually double as the first award in the club program. Your child will receive his Truth Card pack only after he completes his Entrance Exam for his level (a process that may take 2 to 3 weeks to complete). The entrance exam is given to your child only after we receive the enrollment card back from you giving approval for them to participate in K4T. Our End-of-year Awards Program this May, 2011: |
