Pastor Brian Evans is the founder and Senior Pastor of Oakwood Baptist Church. He has been preaching since 1987, and been serving the Lord full-time since 1994. He has been married to his wife Valerie for over 20 years, and they have three children: Zachary, Rebecca, and Jacob. Pastor Evans is a 1984 graduate of University of Georgia and he joined the alumni of Hyles-Anderson College in 1994.

Bro. Ken Pullen is the Director of the Gainesville City Baptist Rescue Mission in Gainesville, GA. Bro. Pullen and his wife Norma are former missionaries to the Philipines, and have been married for over thirty-five years. Bro. Pullen is a graduate of Trinity College and Colombia Bible College.

Bro. Samuel Samaniego is an Assistant Pastor over the Spanish Ministry, Iglesia Bautista de Oakwood. He and his wife Rosa have three children, Gigi, Abby, and David. Bro. Samaniego is from South Gate, California where he was trained in a local Bible Institute. Bro. Samaniego is a wonderful preacher and leader, and God is using him to build a growing congregation.

Valerie Evans is our part-time secretary working about 15 hours each week.  She takes an active part of the church and has been a faithful wife and mother for 22 years.  She is also a dedicated soul winner, choir member and home-school Mom.  Mrs. Evans is in the office T-F from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
