Welcome to our remarkable Wednesday night Bible clubs! These clubs are sure to have your child excited about church and eager to learn more about the Bible. These clubs meet each Wednesday during the school year, usually from September to May, and are designed to target ages 3 to 12. The unique curriculum of this program relies on repitition in a fun atmosphere to teach children the Biblical truths needed to survive in today's world and to help retain those truths for a lifetime - not just until they earn the next badge!

Six different preachers along with a staff of eleven workers keep this club operating on a weekly basis. Each week we average 35-40 children.

• Level 1: Discoverers (ages 3 - 5 yrs old)

 

• Level 2: Developers (1st - 2nd grades)

 

• Level 3: Detectives (3rd - 4th grades)

 

• Level 4: Defenders (5th - 6th grades)

Level 1 revolves around an exploring, treasure hunting theme and focuses on discovering the most important truths about Who God is and What He is doing. Level 2 centers on a building theme and concentrates on laying a foundation of important Christian teachings. Level 3 contains a mystery theme and is dedicated to deepening the children's understanding of Biblical truths. Level 4's medieval theme provides the perfect background with which to teach the children how to give an answer for not only what they believe but why they believe those truths. The entire program focuses on 120 of the Bible's most important truths that are divided into 12 doctrinal themes. Every two years, the children will learn the answers to the same questions covered by those 12 doctrinal themes. However, the program is designed to become more complex as the children grow older and relies on a child's ability to memorize and recall to impart the lessons learned from the Bible.

At Oakwood Baptist Church, we have integrated this program with our own creativity to provide a visually enhanced learning experience - one the children love and learn from!
